Trumpet Performance
Randy has been playing professional free-lance trumpet for over 35 years in symphonies, pit orchestras, brass ensembles and big bands. He has played with Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Della Reese, Steve Allen, The Temptations and The Four Tops. Randy continues to play regularly in a variety of regional ensembles.
Randy has also played with the Oregon Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra Big Band, the Columbus Jazz Arts Group and was lead trumpet for the Oregon Symphony Pops and the SS Norway Big Band. He has recorded various CDs with local groups and big bands in the Northwest and studio commercials for TV and radio.
Randy Mueller is the loudest friggin’ trumpeter I’ve ever had the pleasure of sitting next to. And he’s not just loud—he’s good too. I’ve never heard anybody get stronger through a double of “Singin’ in the Rain” like him. When the rest of us are cooked, he’s just getting warmed up. It’s weird.
